Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about heating, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration service in Dallas-Fort Worth

How quickly can you get a technician out?

We offer same-day or next-day service across the DFW metroplex. Call (469) 583-8741 and we will give you an honest arrival window - no-cooling and refrigeration-down calls are prioritized.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, including Dallas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Irving, Garland, Arlington, Richardson, and 30+ surrounding cities. See our service areas page for the full list.

Do you work on both residential and commercial systems?

Yes. We service residential heating and air conditioning as well as commercial HVAC and commercial refrigeration, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and ice machines.

Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?

As a rule of thumb: if your AC is under 10 years old and the repair is minor, repair usually makes sense. If it is 12-15+ years old, uses discontinued R-22 refrigerant, or the repair costs more than a third of a replacement, replacement is usually the smarter investment. We will always give you both options with straight numbers.

Do you offer free estimates?

Estimates for system replacements and installations are always free. Other visits, such as diagnostic calls or emergency repairs, may carry a fee depending on the situation and distance - we will always tell you up front when you call. Fill out our request form or call (469) 583-8741 to schedule.

Are your technicians licensed and insured?

Yes. Cool Tech is a licensed Texas air conditioning contractor (License #TACLA27884C) and fully insured. All work is 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

What brands do you install and service?

We install and service HVAC equipment from Lennox, Frigidaire, Mitsubishi Electric, and Honeywell, and we can repair most major brands. For commercial refrigeration we work on all brands, including True, Hoshizaki, Turbo Air, Scotsman, and Manitowoc.

My walk-in cooler is not holding temperature. What should I do?

First check the door gaskets, make sure the evaporator fans are running, and confirm nothing is blocking airflow inside. If the temperature keeps climbing, call us right away - the faster a refrigeration problem is diagnosed, the better the chance of saving your inventory.

How often should my HVAC system be maintained?

Twice a year in North Texas: an AC tune-up in spring before the cooling season, and a heating check in fall before the first freeze. Regular maintenance lowers energy bills, prevents mid-season breakdowns, and keeps most manufacturer warranties valid.
